LEI & MSRIP

Breadcrumb
The Latinxs and the Environment program for UCR undergraduate students is in joint guidance and support with MSRIP, one of many summer programs offered by the Office of Academic Preparation, Recruitment & Outreach (APRO) in the UCR Graduate Division. APRO is dedicated to serving the diverse population of the state of California by helping students achieve their goal of a post-graduate education. Along with MSRIP, the Latinxs and the Environment students participate in an eight-week summer research program run by APRO which provides mentorship and preparation for applying to graduate school through a variety of workshops.

Congrats to UCR's inaugural group of undergraduates in Latinxs & the Environment! Our L&E students participated in the APRO Summer Programs Research Symposium 2023! They all gave poster and oral presentations after completing eight weeks of summer research. We also want to give a shoutout to Cameron Daley for winning Best Oral Presentation and Gerardo Miramontes for winning Best STEM Poster Presentation. They will all also participate in this year's L&E 2023 conference in October! Come support them on their journey and to celebrate their research!
